Prepare, at your own pace.
Four short prompts and an optional checklist. Write as much or as little as you want; a blank page is a normal place to start, and this plan can change.
Nothing you type or choose here is saved or sent anywhere. It disappears when you close or reload this page.
This page does not connect to your account, so nothing here appears in My Journey. Private saving needs the reviewed database release, which is not active.

Suggested searches 2
What does the evidence say about gradual reduction versus setting a quit date?
Which preparation behaviours are associated with successful smoking cessation?
Taking a question across opens the workspace with that exact wording in the question box and removes it from the address bar. Nothing is submitted automatically: the search runs only if you submit it there.
Suggestions are questions, not verified evidence. No search runs automatically. Discover is public. General research requires a signed-in, nonblocked account. Restricted professional capabilities require separate authorization.
Recommended next steps 2
- Open the quit preparation worksheet
Reasons, triggers, support and coping ideas in one private page.
- Practise a trigger response
Short optional exercises about triggers and support.
Additional sources and guidance 1
Each source is labeled by audience and document type. Public education and support resources are distinct from clinical guidance; inclusion does not imply clinician review.
- Tobacco smoking cessation in adults: behavioral and pharmacotherapy interventions (opens in a new tab)
USPSTF recommends behavioral interventions and FDA-approved cessation pharmacotherapy for nonpregnant adults who use tobacco. For pregnant persons, it recommends behavioral interventions; evidence is insufficient to determine the balance of benefits and harms of cessation pharmacotherapy. Insufficient evidence is not proof of ineffectiveness or an absolute contraindication.

Source checks are editorial checks, not clinician verification. 3 sources in this selection. Program eligibility and local availability must be confirmed with the provider. Saving discovery resources requires the reviewed private-storage release, so nothing here is saved to an account.
The publication date is the one the publisher states on the page LYVRO links to. Where a publisher states none, the entry says so rather than showing an estimate or a date LYVRO chose. The link check date is the day an editor last opened this entry's destination and confirmed it resolved. That is an editorial check of a link. It is not proof that the external page has not changed since, and it is not clinician verification.
